Daily tous les jours (Dtlj) is looking for a highly qualified Project Manager to join his full-time team. The art and design studio leads an emerging disciplinary field combining interactive art, storytelling, performance and urban design to reinvent 21st century living together. Internationally renowned, Dtlj has signed temporary and permanent installations in more than 60 cities around the world.
The person sought will work on projects of interactive artistic installations, in public space or other contexts, including the museum context, here and internationally. She has solid experience in planning and managing studio projects, from initial ideation to realization, to post-delivery follow-up. This person must be able to solve a variety of creative problems, ensure good customer management and various internal and external teams, with a special attention to detail.
Reporting to the co-founders of the company, the person will work closely with the technical and technological departments, as well as with the operations department and the accounting team. The studio is a relatively small team of about fifteen people with a family atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Define project objectives with the creative team;
- Prepare a detailed project plan to define key steps and activities, define roles and responsibilities;
- Establish and supervise a budget based on the required requirements;
- Manage the completion of the project according to the plan, provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders;
- Manage and adapt to any changes in the scope, schedule and/or budget of the project;
- Identify and mitigate potential risks;
- Manage the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring that the project is delivered to their satisfaction;
- Validate supplier contracts and purchase orders;
- Validate invoices at each phase of the project;
- Plan and supervise project facilities;
- Ensure the delivery of the project within the allotted time and budget;
- Support project documentation;
- Any other related task.
Skills and abilities sought:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar position;
- Sense of leadership and organization;
- Good management of stress and priorities;
- Able to manage several projects simultaneously and adapt to unforeseen events;
- Excellent ability for teamwork;
- Ability to travel several times a year;
- Excellent written and verbal communications in English and French (bilingual required)
- Meticulous and concerned about detail and work well done;
- Mastery of Office suite software and project management software such as Monday, Teamwork;
- Experience in public art and/or interactive installations;
- Knowledge of architecture, public domain and/or engineering. Ability to read plans and monitor built projects.
- Experience in exhibition project management, an asset;
- Knowledge of technologies, multimedia environments and software development, an asset.
