Partisans is seeking a senior interior designer to join its team in Toronto.
Partisans is a Toronto-based award-winning design studio working at the intersection of technology, culture, and architecture. We are seeking a senior interior designer with seven and a half plus years’ of professional experience in a major international design firm. The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker and project leader capable of guiding projects from early concept through construction documentation and delivery. Hospitality and high-end residential experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in Rhino is required.
The ideal candidate will:
- lead the development of innovative, purpose-driven interior design concepts aligned with project vision and strategy
- oversee multiple complex projects across all phases, from concept design to completion, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget objectives are met
- prepare and direct compelling client presentations and coordinate project deliverables
- produce and coordinate architectural drawing sets through all project phases, with a strong understanding of regulatory and technical requirements
- demonstrate strong knowledge of interior architectural detailing including custom millwork, stairs, and complex wall/ceiling assemblies
- source and specify high-end finishes, fixtures, lighting, and furniture (FF&E)
- mentor and support junior and intermediate designers within the studio
- build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers
- communicate ideas clearly both visually and verbally and confidently represent the studio in meetings and presentations
- monitor project schedules and coordinate with internal and external teams to maintain alignment with project timelines
Qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree or diploma in interior design (or equivalent)
- minimum seven and a half years’ of experience in high-end residential and/or hospitality projects
- strong experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- creative, proactive, and resourceful problem-solver
- strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and interior design standards
- proficiency in Rhino, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
- strong organizational and time-management abilities
