Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Assists with coordination of Summer Programs with the Center for Music Education, including online Graduate and Professional Development offerings, teach courses in conducting, music education and others as needed by the School of Music; assists the Director of Bands with the overall administration of the university band summer program; develops and manages online curricula for music courses, recruits students for university bands; works effectively with faculty and students to builds and maintains a productive relationship with public school music programs.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Doctorate preferred; Masters Degree Required.
Experience Required for the Position
Demonstrated success as a conductor and in directing university bands and/or public school teaching.
