Position summary
Support project teams with the goal of designing beautiful and functional landscapes for DTLA clients, collaborating closely with others, both internally and externally, to bring designs to fruition. Support all aspects of the design process with drafting or other assistance including, but not limited to: Site analysis, municipal requirements research, Vectorworks drafting, discrete concept development on portions of projects with guidance, importing Schematic Design concepts, design development, Cost Study/Preliminary Budgeting sets and contractor interface for bids, Planning and Permit Submittals in accordance with municipal requirements, Materials Selection and Sourcing, Site Visits, WELO & Irrigation Plans, Planting Palettes, Plans & Plant Lists, Permit/Construction Documents. Project Management support, Client Services, Collaborator Liaison, Administrative tasks as needed.
Embrace and promote sustainability in the landscape architecture industry, integrate sustainable practices into the design process whenever possible.
We are a fast-paced office so the Design Associate must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications:
- beginning to intermediate Vectorworks skills

This is a Part-Time position with the ability to grow into full-time based on firm needs. Full-time Benefits include Paid PTO, 401(k), Health Insurance, Continuing Education Reimbursements. Compensation DOE. Hybrid Schedule – three days per week in office.
