Brick Architects is hiring an architect or architectural technologist to join its growing Hertfordshire studio full-time.
This role is suited to candidates with a minimum of three years’ experience in practice who are confident working across planning, technical design and delivery stages.
You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, contributing to all stages within a small and collaborative studio environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- producing detailed technical information for Building Regulations, tender and construction
- confidently leading on and producing Building Regulations drawings
- developing project concepts and visualisations
- preparing drawings, schedules and specifications
- producing planning application packages
- conducting site surveys and coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors
Essential skills and experience
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- qualified architect or architectural technologist with a minimum of three years’ experience in practice
- strong proficiency in Revit (essential), with working knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Suite; SketchUp beneficial
- proven experience producing Building Regulations drawings
- good understanding of UK Building Regulations and technical detailing
- experience across planning and delivery stages
- strong communication and organisational skills
- residential project experience
Desirable:
- experience working on care home or healthcare projects
- experience delivering projects through to construction on site
- interest in working within a small, growing practice where you can take on responsibility
