Job Description
The Department of Counseling at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for a Visiting
Assistant Professor in Counseling. The Department is looking for an experienced instructor who can teach graduate level courses in our MPCAC-accredited program. Instruction would primarily be in- person with the possibility of some virtual courses.
This is a part-time, ten-month, teaching-focused position beginning in August 2026. The teaching load would be 18 credit hours yearly with a 3-hour administrative load to support practicum and internship needs. The Visiting Assistant Professor would also be expected to attend faculty meetings. The successful candidate should have a documented history of effective teaching of counseling courses at the university level and will teach clinically-focused courses in our graduate program.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s degree in Counseling and an active Indiana LMHC license are required.
