The Department of Art & Design seeks applicants for a full time, Lecturer in Printmaking, beginning August 1, 2027. This is a non-tenure track position. The selected candidate will teach courses in printmaking and foundations.

Responsibilities
This faculty member will be tasked with maintaining the printmaking tools and studio, as well as responsible stewardship of shared teaching and studio spaces.
The successful candidate will have a 4/4 teaching load, and engage in student mentoring, recruitment, course management, and community engagement. Lecturers at VSU are responsible for participating in service at the department, college, and university levels.
Typical Allocation of Duties:
Teaching and Service - 100%
Teaches classes and meets assigned service obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree (M.F.A.) in printmaking or related field by appointment date.
- Knowledge of skills and practices in printmaking, and ability to teach a variety of printmaking techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain printmaking equipment and facilities.
- Understanding industry standards, safety practices, and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting.
- A record of effective teaching.
- Ability to work with all levels of undergraduate students.
Preferred Qualifications
- A record of mentoring students.
- Ability to manage and track a materials budget.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
