Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is hiring a junior yacht designer to join its team in Eemnes, the Netherlands
At Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, we create refined, innovative and timeless designs for some of the world’s most extraordinary superyachts. Our work combines architectural precision with a deep understanding of lifestyle, craftsmanship and engineering. As our studio continues to grow, we are looking for a talented junior yacht designer to support one of our senior designers/project managers and contribute to the design development and realization of full-custom, world-class superyachts. This role offers the opportunity to be closely involved in both interior and exterior design, working across concept refinement, technical development and project implementation.
Your responsibilities:
- enhance the functionality and aesthetics of interior spaces by (co-)designing and refining architectural elements, fixed furniture, technical components and FF&E items such as lighting fixtures, through to the final design phase
- contribute to the development of exterior designs by assisting in the design and refinement of exterior decks and outdoor spaces, including furniture layouts and design details
- produce CAD drawings and technical documentation to support the design development process
- prepare compelling presentations and detailed briefs for CGI artists to ensure accurate visualizations of design concepts
- coordinate and collect material samples while maintaining oversight of required project documentation, lists and schedules, including meeting notes and follow-up of action points
- research furniture, materials, accessories and design detailing; source items and coordinate (custom) samples
- manage supplier communication and organize documentation, including preparing and updating item lists and other schedules in Excel
- collaborate closely with designers, stylists, CGI artists and design engineers across project teams, contributing to the realization of exceptional yacht designs
Requirements:
- two to four years of professional experience in superyacht design
- strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- working knowledge of Rhino and 3ds Max/V-Ray
- creativity combined with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
- highly motivated, eager to learn and adaptable
- strong organizational and communication skills
- precise, accurate and responsible
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-performance design studio
- professional command of English (written and spoken)
- living in, or willing to relocate to, the Netherlands, with a valid work permit
