Associate Professor of Architecture with Andrews University (Berrien Springs, MI)
Teach a full load of undergraduate classes in the areas of Architecture. Lead design studios, teach assigned lecture courses, and provide ongoing curriculum development at the undergraduate level. Teach and provide ongoing professional growth and expertise, create, review and update course syllabi, evaluation of student coursework, academic advising of students, participation in accreditation processes, maintenance of regular office hours and provision of general availability to students, participation in SAID and university committees, participation in community outreach, recruiting activities, student advising, mentoring, and other events as well as research, scholarship, and service.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related and 2 years of related undergraduate teaching experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Postmodern architectural design skills while building on traditional strategies; Leading design studios across different levels (foundation, advanced, thesis); Integration of architecture with fields like sustainability, business, digital design, or community planning; Professional portfolio or practice experience in urban design, and educational, health and religious typology of buildings; Innovation while connecting architectural education with real-world projects and public service; Computer Assisted Drawing (AutoCAD), 3D modeling and rendering software (3Ds Max and V-ray), and postproduction software (Adobe Photoshop) tools; and Experience in furniture design and furniture build skills.
