About the role
As a design intern at Icrave, a studio of Journey, you will have the opportunity to work alongside brilliant, world-class design professionals and contribute to exciting design projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their skills and expand their portfolio in a supportive and creative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- collaborate with senior designers to develop innovative and highly detailed interior design spaces
- assist in the preparation of design presentations
- conduct research on industry trends, materials and furniture
- participate in client meetings and assist in preparing presentation materials
- create detailed drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit
- support the procurement process by sourcing and selecting materials and furnishings
- assist in the coordination of project installations and site visits
Candidate qualifications
Successful candidates are creative, motivated, fearless and curious designers with a passion for architecture, interior design and the built environment and are currently pursuing or finishing pursuing a degree in interior design or architecture.
You also have the following skills:
- proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
- strong attention to detail
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to collaborate in a team environment and take direction from senior designers
- strong organizational and time management skills
Location
This position is for an in-person internship program from our Broadway Studio in New York. On this occasion, we can only consider applications from those fully authorized to work in the U.S.
Salary: $25/hour
