Noto Architects is an award-winning, design-led architectural practice delivering carefully crafted contemporary architecture across residential, cultural, education, and commercial sectors. Our work combines strong conceptual thinking with technical rigour, sustainability and attention to detail.
We are seeking a talented architect with at least three years’ post-Part 3 experience to join the practice and lead projects within our growing London portfolio.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and capable architect to take ownership of projects and play a key role within a collaborative and growing practice.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and run their own projects, working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors across all RIBA stages. We are therefore looking for someone with both strong design aptitude and superior technical knowledge, capable of carrying projects confidently from concept through to delivery on site.
The role is primarily remote-based in London, focused on managing and delivering our London projects, with the opportunity to spend one or two days each month working from our Cotswolds studio.
Key responsibilities:
- lead projects across RIBA Stages 2–6
- develop high-quality design proposals and technical packages
- manage planning, technical coordination, and project delivery
- prepare detailed drawing and construction information
- coordinate consultants, contractors and project teams
- cttend client meetings and site visits
- oversee project programmes, budgets and quality standards
- contribute positively to the design culture and growth of the practice
Required skills and experience:
- ARB-registered architect (UK)
- minimum three years’ post-Part 3 professional experience
- strong design ability demonstrated through portfolio and built work
- excellent technical and construction knowledge
- proven experience delivering projects through planning and construction
- strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and procurement processes
- ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- excellent communication, organisation and client-facing skills
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, Adobe (3D experience desirable)
Desirable:
- experience delivering high-end residential and/or education projects
- experience working in a small, design-led practice
- interest in sustainable and low-energy design approaches
