Job summary
The head of project management will oversee and lead all project management activities within the interior design team.
This role involves managing project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of hospitality design projects and maintaining high standards of quality, cost efficiency and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
Leadership and team management:
- lead and mentor a team of project managers, designers and support staff
- foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Project oversight:
- oversee the planning, execution and completion of hospitality design projects
- develop and implement project management methodologies, standards and best practices
- ensure all projects adhere to timelines, budgets and quality standards
Client management:
- serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- conduct regular project updates and presentations to clients
Budget and resource management:
- allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity and efficiency
- identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
Collaboration and communication:
- communicate project progress and challenges to senior management and stakeholders
- coordinate with external consultants, contractors and suppliers as needed
Quality assurance:
- ensure that all design and construction work meets the company’s standards and client expectations
- conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality
