PAD is looking for an interior fit-out manager for its London studio.
Plan Architecture & Design (PAD), a Bahrain-based architecture and interior design practice, is seeking an experienced interior fit-out manager to be based in London and act as PAD’s representative in the UK, overseeing the execution of ultra-high-end residential and office interior projects.
This role is ideally suited to an interior designer with strong technical and site experience, capable of taking a fully developed design package produced by our Bahrain office and successfully delivering it on site to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of project execution, source and manage subcontractors and suppliers, control costs, and ensure that the design intent is executed accurately and professionally. Full design, technical and specification support will be provided by the Bahrain office throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- manage the execution of high-end interior fit-out projects in London
- act as PAD’s representative in the UK for project coordination and delivery
- coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, fabricators and site teams
- source suitable subcontractors and specialist suppliers for various trades
- review quotations, negotiate pricing and control project costs and budgets
- ensure the design intent and quality standards are maintained throughout execution
- coordinate all technical aspects of fit-out works, including MEP integration
- review shop drawings, samples, material submissions and technical details
- monitor site progress, quality and timelines
- liaise closely with PAD’s Bahrain office for technical coordination and project support
- attend site meetings and communicate effectively with clients, consultants and contractors
Requirements:
- degree in interior design, architecture or related field
- proven experience delivering very high-end residential and office interiors
- strong technical understanding of all interior fit-out trades and methodologies
- good knowledge of MEP coordination and integration within interior projects
- extensive knowledge of premium materials, including marble, wood, glass, metal, bespoke finishes and custom joinery
- strong commercial awareness and experience reviewing bids and managing costs
- excellent organisational and subcontractor management skills
- ability to independently oversee projects while coordinating with an international design team
- strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
- experience working on luxury projects in London
- existing network of subcontractors, craftspeople and specialist suppliers in the UK
- strong understanding of high-quality detailing and bespoke interior execution
