Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented site survey designer to carry out on-site surveys across various locations in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting accurate data, preparing comprehensive site reports, and translating client requirements into effective design solutions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong design background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
- conduct on-site surveys to gather data for design projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project requirements and site-specific considerations
- create detailed reports and drawings based on site survey findings
- assess site conditions and identify potential challenges or opportunities for design improvements
- prepare accurate as-built drawings and other relevant documentation
- ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during site visits
- manage and prioritize multiple survey assignments and meet project deadlines
- maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams throughout the survey process
Requirements:
- proven experience in site surveying, preferably within the design or construction industry
- strong knowledge of design principles, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), and survey tools
- excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work
- ability to interpret site conditions and make informed design recommendations
- strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- knowledge of relevant regulations and standards within the design and construction industries is a plus
