MALIN+LYNN is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant/architectural designer to join its team in London.
MALIN+LYNN is a residential architecture and interiors practice specialising in high-end, truly bespoke homes across London. We manage projects from concept through to completion, allowing us to maintain a highly considered and detailed approach at every stage of design and delivery.
Due to an increasing workload, we are looking to expand our team with a talented Part 2 Architectural Assistant/Architectural Designer with strong residential and interiors experience.
Location
MALIN+LYNN operates as a remote office. While our projects and operations are anchored in London, this role offers flexibility for remote working, with regular collaboration, meetings and site visits in London. This position is therefore ideally suited to candidates based in or near London.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- one to three years’ professional experience within a residential architecture practice, ideally London-based
- proven interiors experience, particularly on high-end residential projects
- experience working across all stages of a project, from concept and planning through to tender, construction and handover
- strong technical ability and attention to detail
- excellent skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering software
- good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- excellent presentation, graphical and visual communication skills
- confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- highly self-motivated, organised and able to work independently within a remote office structure
- excellent time management skills and ability to meet demanding project deadlines
In addition, candidates should be able to:
- develop and communicate design concepts through sketching, 3D modelling, 2D CAD drawings, mood boards and concept presentations
- contact suppliers and obtain technical information, samples and pricing to support design development
- communicate confidently with directors, senior designers, consultants and contractors
- undertake regular site visits during construction (London-based projects)
