Observation Studio is seeking an exceptional junior designer for immediate employment in a demanding and collaborative work environment.
Based in Portland, Oregon, Observation Studio engages a legacy of craft borne out of the abundance of the Pacific Northwest to create timeless and sustainable places for contemporary culture. Considered applicants must have:
- BArch or March degree from an accredited university
- zero to five years’ of professional work experience
- a wandering and critical design mind, with interests in dynamic spaces, connections to landscape, material qualities, craft and construction details
- exceptional design abilities represented with iterative models, diagrams, and architectural drawings
- ability to execute exceptional presentation deliverables
- familiarity working with various tools and medium including but not limited to: physical model building, 2D and 3D drawing and modeling (Vectorworks, Rhino, etc), rendering, (Photoshop, Maxwell, Enscape, etc), and generating presentations (Adobe Creative Suite), etc.
- residential design experience a plus
