The role
We are seeking a studio manager to assist senior staff with the day-to-day running of the practice while also playing a key role in shaping how the business presents itself externally.
This is a broad and evolving role suited to someone highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a design-led environment. Alongside core operational responsibilities, you will help improve the company’s branding, website, and portfolio output, supporting the continued growth of the practice.
You will work closely with the Directors and senior team, acting as a central point of coordination across administration, marketing, and business operations.
Key responsibilities
Practice operations:
- assist with the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring a well-organised and efficient working environment
- manage office supplies, equipment, IT coordination and external service providers
- coordinate cleaners, maintenance, and general office logistics
- manage deliveries, post and internal distribution
Business administration:
- support project setup and administration
- monitor and prompt timesheets, and carry out weekly reviews
- issue invoices and support credit control, including chasing overdue payments
- track office and project-related expenses
Marketing and brand development:
- take ownership of the company website, including content updates and improvements
- manage and grow the company’s LinkedIn presence
- coordinate and improve the company portfolio and project sheets
- support the development of marketing and promotional material
- help shape and maintain a consistent visual and written identity across the practice
Bids, proposals and growth:
- support preparation of bids and presentations (InDesign or similar)
- assist in identifying and tracking new opportunities (frameworks, awards, etc.)
- coordinate submission of bids, awards, and framework applications
- support senior staff in maintaining awareness of new opportunities
Communication and coordination:
- manage shared inboxes (including support and recruitment)
- handle incoming calls and general enquiries
- coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling and logistics
- support recruitment coordination, including interviews and candidate communication
General support:
- provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider team
- assist with document formatting and ensure consistency with company standards
About you:
- highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and improving processes
- experience working in a creative, design, or consultancy environment preferred
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- experience with Adobe InDesign / Illustrator / WordPress (desirable but not essential)
- interest in architecture, engineering, or the built environment
- you will likely have prior experience in a studio manager, coordinator, or senior administrative role and be looking to take on a position with broader responsibility and influence
