Soho Home is seeking a junior freelance CAD technician or interior designer to join its team in London.
The role
Reporting to the interior design manager, you will play an important role in the creation of customer facing CAD files for some of our key product lines.
Main duties:
- create outline CAD drawings for some of our key product lines including plans, elevations and outline dimensions
- convert existing supplier production drawings to 2D customer facing CADs
- file and track all drawings produced and ensure signed off by key stakeholders
- collaborate closely with the Soho Home design and technical teams to ensure drawings are executed to the highest standard.
What we are looking for:
- a minimum of one year of experience as a CAD technician or working within a design/interior design studio
- an excellent communicator both written and verbally, with strong interpersonal skills
- naturally collaborative
- a creative problem-solver, naturally curious with the confidence to challenge current practices to instigate positive change
- strong organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
- analytical and results orientated
- excellent time management skills
- a self-motivator who is enthusiastic and keen to progress and develop
- passionate about Soho House and Soho Home, ensuring the member and customer is at the heart of all key decision making
- ability to keep calm under pressure, always retaining a friendly and positive can-do attitude
Requirements include:
- a recognised qualification in interior design, architecture or a related field
- strong proficiency in Vectorworks and AutoCAD (essential)
- proficiency in SketchUp
- good presentation skills
- proficiency in technical drawing composition
- attention to detail and organisational skills
