Waugh Thistleton Architects is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its London studio.
Waugh Thistleton Architects is a research-centred practice that puts high-quality architecture and environmental responsibility at the core of our work.
Who?
We’re looking for self-starters who are passionate about architecture, have a keen team spirit, a collaborative approach to design and share the studio’s high creative ambitions.
What?
To be involved at all stages of the design and construction process, working from the competition stage with early concepts through to detailing projects for construction.
Skills and experience:
- highly creative and thoughtful with a superb eye for composition, light and materials, with a technical understanding and passion for bringing ideas to life
- understanding of architectural project design approach and workflows
- well organised and adaptable, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- good communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English and Japanese
- approachable and professional manner, with the confidence to deal with people at all levels
- strong team player, with a collaborative working style
- advanced 3D modelling in CAD, preferably ArchiCAD and Rhino
- advanced rendering skills, preferably using Photoshop and ArchiCAD
- fluency in Japanese will be a distinct advantage
Salary: dependent on experience
