Job Summary
The Lecturer/Assistant Professor position is a tenure-track faculty appointment in Art and Design with a primary focus on 3D media and interdisciplinary studio practice. The successful candidate will teach a range of three-dimensional processes that may include sculpture, ceramics, woodshop and fabrication techniques, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies relevant to contemporary 3D practice.
This position places a strong emphasis on integrating traditional analog methods with digital and technologically driven approaches, supporting students in developing conceptually rigorous and materially informed work. The faculty member will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and overseeing 3D studio facilities
Minimum Qualifications
- MFA in Studio Art with an emphasis on 3D media (such as sculpture, ceramics, or interdisciplinary studio practice) or a closely related terminal degree
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple 3D processes,
- Ability to teach and support both traditional analog methods and digital or emerging 3D technologies
- Record of professional artistic activity appropriate to the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor
- Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and collaborative program development
