The Department of History, Political Science and International Studies seeks adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate world history courses, on a rolling, per course basis. We value?excellence in?and commitment to teaching a diverse student population, as well as participatory pedagogy and making use of NYC. ?
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach courses such as?World History, and history of particular regions or countries.
- Contribute to the academic mission of the department through high-quality instruction and engagement with students
- Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assessments
- Provide timely feedback on student progress and assignments
- Ensure active participation and engagement of students?
- Support a diverse and inclusive learning environment?
- Adhere to the University's mission and values, submit grades on time and other wise comply with related requests from the chair
Requirements
- Master’s degree in History or a related field required ; Doctorate preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates with proven teaching excellence
Supplemental Information
Salary Range Based on Experience:
- Instructor $1477.28 per credit
- Assistant Professor $1526.25 per credit
- Associate Professor $1575.65 per credit
- Professor $1625.04 per credit
