ASJ Design is looking for a mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.
ASJ Design is a full-service architecture and interiors practice, specialising in residential renovation and refurbishment in London, Wiltshire and across the South of England.
We are a multi-disciplined team who have built a strong reputation for impeccable client service with most of our work being driven by recommendations.
We are currently seeking a creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic designer to become a valued member of our team.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional organisational skills, strong technical ability and a keen eye for detail.
As the role involves assisting the team on all aspects of our projects from concept to completion, we are searching for a strong communicator and a team player with confidence working both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
Key responsibilities:
- manage projects across all aspects from concept to completion with the oversight of senior team members
- take responsibility for the development of own projects including digital design presentations, sketches, plans, elevations and sample mood boards
- run projects within budget using Estimac
- excellent CAD skills to communicate drawings to clients, site and suppliers.
- design bespoke furniture and joinery with technical and creative skills
- have on-site experience, handling various contractors and arranging studio and site meetings throughout the stages of projects
- great efficiency in keeping specifications, schedules and sampling up to date across the timeline of a project
- have a broad supplier knowledge and be able to select materials depending on project and budget
- contribute to presentations and pitches for projects.
- strong communication skills to manage clients, suppliers and trades
- great ability to multitask and work independently and as a team
- adaptable in an energetic environment with varying in-house needs
Skills:
- BA in Interior Design/ Architecture or equivalent
- three to four years plus of industry experience
- proficient in Autocad and Estimac
- Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Excel skills are preferable
- broad knowledge of suppliers of furniture, fabrics and hard finishes
- UK driving licence. Own car plus willingness to travel
Salary will be based on experience.
All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
This is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
Must be available for an immediate start.
