Job description
As sales manager, you are responsible for launching our VIG proposition into the UK architectural, façade, and glazing community. You’ll combine technical understanding with persuasive communication, helping specifiers and contractors understand how VIG can solve problems other glazing systems can’t.
Sales and revenue generation:
- identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- meet and exceed sales targets and quotas
- negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with clients
This is a hands-on, varied role that spans:
- relationship-building with architects, consultants, and system suppliers
- leading early sales conversations
- supporting specification and technical adoption
- representing the business at events and through CPDs
- promote the VIG solution to architects, façade engineers, heritage specialists, and contractors
- deliver technical CPDs, client briefings, and early-stage design guidance
- build and manage a network of early-adopter clients and partners
- develop compelling pitch materials, collate specification documents, and FAQs
- translate client feedback into product refinement and positioning
- support sales to fabricators and glazing installers, helping them understand framing needs and installation standards
- monitor competitor activity and emerging technical/regulatory issues in the glazing sector
- represent the business at relevant industry events, shows, and forums
- contribute to pricing strategy, go-to-market plans, and long-term growth planning
Requirement:
- a degree of architecture, structure engineering, civil engineering will be preferred, though other relevant degrees will be considered
- experience in building product specification, technical sales, or design
- excellent written and verbal communication
