ARCO Design and Architecture is hiring a newly qualified architect/Part 2 to join its team in London.
ARCO Design & Architecture is an emerging London-based architecture studio working across residential, building-scale and urban projects in the UK and internationally. Currently a small, founder-led practice, ARCO is seeking to employ as it enters its next phase of growth.
We are seeking a newly qualified Architect or Part 2 Architectural Assistant with an interest in contributing to residential design and delivery in London and conceptual and strategic work internationally.
The role will suit someone interested in working across design, delivery and studio development within a growing practice.
The role
You will work across multiple project streams, contributing to both design and technical delivery, engaging with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
The role includes:
- delivery of London based residential projects from concept through to construction (homeowner and developer clients)
- supporting planning, technical design, and construction stages
- assisting on larger-scale, strategic, and civic/public projects (current projects range from early-stage concept design to RIBA Stage 3)
- producing clear, well-coordinated drawings and information
- attending and contributing to client meetings, consultant coordination, and site visits
- supporting international work, primarily at concept and strategic design stages
Required experience and skills:
- qualified UK architect or Part 2
- comfortable engaging with clients and consultants
- ability working across both conceptual design and technical stages, with an interest in developing technical detailing skills
- must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom
Software skills:
- AutoCAD (essential)
- Rhino 3D (essential)
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Revit (working knowledge or interest in developing further)
