Yard Architects is hiring an architect to join its team in London.
We are looking for a qualified architect, with around one to five years experience post qualification.
The practice works on private residential projects across London and the south east with an emphasis on design, detailing and materiality. We aim to deliver carefully crafted buildings combined with an excellent standard of service for our clients. We have numerous projects at all RIBA stages and are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious candidate to join our team. The role will provide a fantastic opportunity to learn, develop, contribute and progress your career, with the potential to become a key member of a growing studio.
Successful applicants will have all of the following skills:
- excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp
- demonstration of experience with domestic scale projects in the UK across all work stages
- excellent design skills and graphic ability
- strong technical ability and knowledge of the building regulations
- good written and verbal communication skills
- experience leading Stage 4 work packages
- knowledge and first-hand experience of contract administration
- ability to lead multiple projects at any one time
- excellent client facing and interpersonal skills
The role will be full time and predominantly office based (but not entirely), in our studio in Borough.
