Martin Kemp Design is seeking a proactive and commercially minded procurement manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will lead the full FF&E procurement lifecycle across all projects, from early concept and budgeting through to supplier negotiation, logistics, and final installation. Working closely with the senior management team and finance, you will provide strategic oversight to ensure design integrity, cost control, and operational efficiency at every stage.
Key responsibilities:
- strategic procurement: lead early-stage strategy, aligning budgets and lead times from concept to completion
- financial control: own FF&E budgets and lead negotiations to secure best value; oversee payment approvals and provide clear financial reporting to clients and stakeholders
- supplier management: develop and manage strategic vendor relationships and maintain a centralized supplier database to support effective sourcing
- logistics and installation: oversee production and logistics to ensure alignment with project milestones, providing on-site support during key installation phases
- digital leadership: lead the implementation and optimization of Fohlio, integrating budgets, supplier data, and payment tracking (aligned with Xero) for real-time management visibility
- reporting and reconciliation: ensure accurate budget tracking, reconciliation and clear reporting to clients and internal stakeholders
- tracking: lead the tracking and forecasting of procurement fees, establishing an efficient process to do so across all live procurement projects
Skills and experience:
- commercially minded with proven budget ownership experience
- minimum five years experience in a similar luxury interior design company
- strategic thinker who balances creativity with financial discipline
- confident negotiator with strong supplier management skills
- digitally confident with experience managing or implementing procurement systems
- highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
