Fischer+Makooi Architects is hiring a project architect to join its New York studio.
We are seeking a highly skilled project architect with at least 7 to 10 years’ experience to lead and oversee architectural projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management with proficiency in design software such as Autocad, Revit and CAD. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors and team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Must possess the ability to:
- manage architectural projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation and budgeting
- collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each project
- oversee the drafting of architectural designs and construction documents
- conduct construction estimating to provide accurate cost assessments for projects
- coordinate with contractors and subcontractors throughout the construction process
- ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and contract specifications
- facilitate communication between all stakeholders involved in the project
- monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet objectives
- provide leadership and mentorship to junior architects and project team members
