Tate + Co is looking for a talented and motivated Part 2 architectural assistant to join its growing London practice.
We are architects, masterplanners and interior designers creating thoughtful, regenerative places that connect people, landscape and community. Our work spans education, leisure, hospitality, residential and mixed-use projects, ranging from strategic masterplans to crafted individual buildings and interiors. Founded in 2007, the practice is driven by the belief that better spaces can create better outcomes for both people and planet.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and design-led studio working on an exciting and varied portfolio of UK projects. We are looking for someone with strong design instincts, excellent graphic and communication skills, and a genuine interest in sustainable, low-energy architecture.
The role
You will work closely with architects and directors across a range of live projects, supporting design development, presentations, project coordination and technical information. The role will include assisting with architectural proposals, drawings, schedules, specifications and visual material, as well as attending meetings, design reviews and site visits. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to competitions, bids and business development work across the practice.
About you
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- a strong interest in regenerative, sustainable and low-energy design
- excellent design, graphic and presentation skills
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- a high level of organisation and attention to detail
- proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign
- good visualisation skills, including Enscape or V-Ray
- ideally skilled in hand drawing
- fluent spoken and written English
- the right to work in the UK
An interest in landscape, heritage and community-focused design would be particularly valued.
