The Furniture Practice (TFP) is looking for a furniture consultant to join its living team in London.
You will collaborate to deliver exceptional projects for leading developers and operators in various living sectors, including BTR, co-living, PBSA, and hospitality.

This team covers BTR, co-living, PBSA and hospitality. As a furniture consultant, your role is to lead projects with confidence, ensuring they align with design, budgetary and timeline parameters. You’ll cultivate and develop client relationships while collaborating with various departments, including operations, project management, marketing and finance.

About the role
As a TFP living consultant, you will take ownership of projects from brief through to completion, managing them autonomously while maintaining commercial discipline and programme integrity.
You will build strong, trusted relationships with designers, clients and suppliers, acting as a confident and knowledgeable representative of TFP living at every stage of the project.
The role requires accurate and consistent use of internal systems to manage orders, track opportunities and maintain pipeline visibility. A solid understanding of the furniture market, including supplier landscape, routes to market, is essential.
You will present ideas clearly and professionally to a range of audiences, from design teams to client stakeholders, and represent the organisation with confidence in both formal and informal settings.
Typical responsibilities:
- lead projects independently, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets and timelines
- develop and present product proposals aligned to the client brief, aesthetic and commercial parameters
- prepare high-quality presentations in line with company brand standards
- manage sample coordination in accordance with agreed processes
- obtain supplier pricing and negotiate competitive terms
- prepare accurate quotations and documentation in line with internal procedures
- confidently chair client meetings, both in-office and on site
- maintain clear, consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle
- liaise effectively with suppliers to confirm pricing, specifications and delivery milestones
- collaborate openly with colleagues to ensure joined-up project delivery
- support and contribute to pitches, interviews and new business opportunities
- represent TFP Living at industry and client events when required

You may also:
- have previous project management experience in any field
- have product or design-related experience
- have knowledge of the furniture industry and the key manufacturers
