The Role
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to lead content creation and channel growth for a portfolio of clients. The role focuses on developing engaging social content, managing communities, and translating client business goals into effective social strategies.
You will work closely with our creative and digital marketing team to deliver integrated campaigns that support wider marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Manage and grow social media channels for a portfolio of clients across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok
- Develop content ideas aligned with client brand positioning and business objectives
- Plan and manage content calendars
- Create, capture and edit photo and video content for social platforms
- Write clear, engaging copy for captions and short‑form video
- Stay up to date with social media trends and platform developments
Community Management
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages across client channels
- Identify opportunities to increase engagement and strengthen online communities
Client Strategy & Advisory
- Work with clients to understand their business goals
- Translate these into clear and effective social media strategies
- Recommend campaigns, content formats and marketing activity to support wider objectives
Reporting & Insights
- Track and analyse social media performance
- Produce regular reports highlighting results, insights and opportunities for improvement
- Collaboration & Content Production
- Brief and collaborate with designers, videographers, photographers and copywriters
- Manage content production from concept through to delivery
Paid Media & Digital Marketing Collaboration
- Work with internal digital marketing specialists to support campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta and Google
- Contribute to messaging, creative development and audience targeting recommendations
- Review campaign performance and translate insights into client‑facing recommendations
- Ensure organic social activity aligns with wider digital marketing campaigns
Avenue Group Marketing
- Manage and grow the Avenue Group’s own marketing channels
- Create social content showcasing company work and insights
- Support CRM communications including newsletters and marketing emails
Experience
Social Media & Content Creation (Essential)
- Experience creating content for both B2B and B2C audiences
- Proven experience managing LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok channels
- Confident capturing photo and video content when required
- Strong video editing skills using Premiere Pro or CapCut
- Excellent copywriting skills for captions and short‑form content
- Strong understanding of social media trends and platform best practices
- Experience managing and engaging social communities
- Confident reporting performance insights to clients
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience collaborating with designers, videographers, photographers and copywriters
Digital Marketing (Desirable)
- Experience working with LinkedIn Ads campaigns
- Working knowledge of Meta Ads including messaging, creative and audience targeting
- Understanding of Google Ads and the ability to interpret performance data
- Foundational understanding of SEO and how content supports search visibility
