Tuckey Design Studio is looking for a German-speaking architect to join its London office (or work from home office in Switzerland).
We are looking for experienced, proactive, and ambitious designers, who are passionate about working with existing buildings and who are interested in contributing to the future of the practice.
Tuckey Design Studio works on a variety of existing and new buildings, and in a variety of mediums. Architects will have at least three years post-qualification professional experience.
We seek applicants with the following qualifications, qualities, and experience:
- three years of relevant experience leading projects
- German or Swiss German required
- additional languages welcomed
- knowledge of Swiss building regulations and planning procedures is helpful
- work experience through all stages, from planning, tender to completion is helpful
- excellent design and presentation skills, including hand drawing
- experience on technical drawings, specifications and schedules
- experience assisting and running projects of different scales
- building site experience
- knowledge in Vectorworks (2d and 3d) is preferable but not essential
- experience using Adobe Suite, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- attention to detail
- initiative, resourcefulness, and proactivity in approach to daily tasks whilst working within the agreed procedures and given timings
- strong organisational skills
- a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- able to assist in following and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System
- good communication skills
- ability to work well as part of a team and independently as required
