Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled architectural technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, coordination, and delivery of architectural projects from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality technical output.
Key responsibilities:
- prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and technical specifications using CAD/Revit software
- assist in the development of design proposals and construction information
- ensure all drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
- coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues
- produce and manage technical packages for tender and construction stages
- conduct site visits and assist with inspections as required
- support planning applications and building control submissions
- maintain project documentation and ensure accuracy and version control
Requirements:
- degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in architectural technology or a related field
- proven experience in a similar role within an architectural practice
- proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM experience preferred)
- strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods
- excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- good communication and teamwork abilities
- ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple
