IF_DO is looking for an ARB-registered architect with up to three years’ post-Part 3 experience to join its London studio.
IFDO is an award-winning architecture practice based in London. We create buildings that have a positive impact on users, the environment, and the wider community. Our work spans residential, community, education and civic infrastructure projects, including both new-build and the adaptive reuse of existing structures. We are known for a collaborative, rigorous approach, developing projects from early concept through technical delivery and construction with equal emphasis on design quality and long-term social value.
This is a full-time role for a motivated, design-focused architect who is capable of running projects independently, while also contributing as part of a wider team on larger and more complex schemes. You will work across all RIBA stages, coordinate with consultant teams, and help deliver projects from concept through to completion.
Key responsibilities:
- run smaller projects with appropriate oversight
- contribute to larger projects as part of a team
- develop design concepts through to detailed technical delivery
- prepare statutory applications and production information
- coordinate consultants and wider design teams
- attend site and support contract administration (JCT experience preferred)
- communicate clearly with clients, consultants and contractors
Required skills and experience:
- RIBA Part 3 qualification and ARB registered
- zero to three years’ post-Part 3 experience in the UK
- experience across all RIBA stages
- strong design, detailing and visual communication skills
- experience of UK Building Regulations and procurement processes
- Stage 4–5 delivery experience
- contract administration under JCT (preferred)
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficiency in Vectorworks (essential)
- working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape and NBS
- confident using Microsoft 365
- AI literate and interested in integrating emerging tools into practice
